When it comes to creating a system that works for you I think it’s very important to try different approaches.
This is often looked at as a negative thing but it’s the only way you can truly find something that suits you and your lifestyle.
It’s very unlikely that you will find a programme that works perfectly for you.
You have to be flexible with your approach to learning and changing things around.
Life changes fast and this can completely throw your current system off, that’s why you need to have plenty of tools in the tool box.
The only way to build up your knowledge is to try new approaches and understand what suits you.
Working with 100’s of clients over the years I have had to make A LOT of adjustments to suit changes in clients lifestyles, this hasn’t been an issue due to my experience with trying so many different things.
This is why my approach is unique in comparison to many others because I’m realistic with life changing and not expecting clients to change their life for the system, the system should be working in the background and change to suit you.
The reason so many of my clients get incredible results is down to the fact that they’re able to adjust to new changes in lifestyle whilst their system works in the background keeping them on track.
So obviously this can come across a bit contradicting considering I preach consistency on a daily basis BUT you can still stay consistent whilst trying different things.
You don’t need to completely change every part of your current system, I’d recommend just changing one aspect and seeing what impact it has on you, your goals and if it’s something you can sustain.
Even if it doesn’t tick all the boxes it can come in very handy at some point in the future.
I’m not saying you should be changing things on a regular basis but also don’t be afraid to try new things to develop your own knowledge and experience.
It’s very likely that you will fail with different approaches but you can take away parts that actually fit within your lifestyle.
One thing is for sure we do enjoy trying new things.
This is absolutely fine
BUT
If you want to stay consistent you need to still keep within your current system to an extent.
🍕If you’re trying a new nutritional approach - keep calories the same.
🏋🏼♂️If you’re trying a new training approach - keep some prime exercises the same.
🚴If you’re trying a new cardio approach - keep the duration the same.
These are obviously very basic guidelines and I could mention many more.
Whenever my clients want to try something new or ask me about an approach I always give them the pros & cons.
Why?
Because I’ve tried it already.
Don’t be afraid to try new things just make sure you take away something from it that’ll help you design your own perfect system.
Remember the goal is to build this around your lifestyle and not the other way round.
Your system should be working in the background and only have a positive impact on your day to day life.
Over the next couple of months I will be sharing different things I’ve tried around training, nutrition and cardio for you to get an idea of how it could benefit you.
You can try it if you want or just take the information in so that at some point it might come in handy.
Hope this helps, if you have any systems you've tried before and found useful feel free to share what you tried and your experience!
